Originally holding up the roof of the old Macdonald Halligan Motors on 51 Albert st Auckland, this stunning piece of architectural history has been transformed into a beautiful, useful piece of furniture. The timber top was serving as a scarf joint to hold two massive Canadian Oregon beams together for the roof truss of the said building featuring hand forged bolts and steel strapping from the 1930s. Reclaimed steel from a vintage glass house built in the 1970s out in Runciman, south Auckland is used for the legs. Dimensions: Length 1750mm, Height, 880mm, Width 450mm (timber 375mm wide)
